I am currently in the process of adding new students to The Composers Studio at UreMusic.com!

Lesson Application

Lessons will begin in June 2023. If you are interested, you'll want to complete the application before May 1st, 2023. Students will be notified of acceptance and get scheduled for a free introductory meeting by May 10th, 2023.

I will be accepting students of all levels and abilities. I only ask that students are committed to studying composition and working on their assignments for at least 20 minutes per day.

Student Concerts

Students will have the opportunity to get featured in composition concerts through my YouTube Channel.

To be eligible for the concert, you must meet a minimum level of ability. The concerts must be no longer than one hour to allow students to be featured appropriately.

Lesson Pricing

Free Mahler Symphonies, Theory, Ear Training, and Analysis

For those who do not wish to take lessons now, I would also like to direct you to my YouTube Channel. You can listen to ear training videos, discussions on music theory topics, and original music. I will start posting videos more regularly, and I start to discuss the Mahler Symphonies in great detail once the channel reaches 1,000 followers. (I'd love to do it sooner, but it's a massive undertaking). Now is an excellent time to subscribe as there will be plenty of other educational resources available in the meantime!

Music Composition, Theory, and Ear Training Lessons

All private lessons are completed over Zoom and last for approximately 45 minutes.

While I specialize in teaching composers, I have many students who come to me to take music theory, counterpoint, orchestration, and ear training lessons. I have worked as a professor of music at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas since 2016, and I have taught both undergraduate and graduate courses in music theory and composition. I am currently serving as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Music.

Students who are accepted into the studio are automatically given access to a theory and ear training self-guided course. These courses are free with regular lesson tuition, and they are designed to improve your ear and fill in any gaps in music theory knowledge.
